New Dutch Connections

What you'll do

New Dutch Connections uses applied theatre — roleplay, scenario work, improvisation — to help young refugees (18–30) practise job interviews, workplace conversations, and professional situations they've never encountered before. As a volunteer you take part as a scene partner, play a hiring manager or colleague, give feedback, and help debrief after each session. No acting experience needed; real is better than polished.

What it takes

• Comfortable improvising and playing roles in a group setting
• Available for a consistent weekly session (location varies by cohort)
• Working professional in any sector — the more varied the volunteers, the richer the sessions
